Jakarta, 8 September 2025 – Ketua Umum MUI Provinsi DKI Jakarta, KH. Muhammad Faiz, melakukan kunjungan silaturahim ke kampus Universitas Islam Assyafi’iyyah (UIA) Jakarta, Senin (8/9). Dalam pertemuan ini, beliau bertemu dengan Prof. Dr. H. Dailami Firdaus, SH., LL.M., yang juga Ketua Yayasan UIA sekaligus Senator DPD–MPR RI.
Prof. Dailami dikenal aktif dalam bidang pendidikan, kebudayaan, sosial, dan dakwah. Pertemuan berlangsung hangat dengan sambutan dari Rektor UIA, Prof. Dr. Masduki Ahmad, SH., MM., para dekan, serta pimpinan lembaga UIA.
Pada kesempatan itu, KH. Muhammad Faiz menyampaikan perkembangan MUI DKI Jakarta selama satu tahun kepemimpinannya bersama Sekretaris Umum KH. Auza’i Mahfudz. Beliau menegaskan misi revitalisasi dan reposisi peran MUI agar lebih strategis.
“Dalam menjalankan misi ini, MUI DKI Jakarta perlu melibatkan berbagai pihak. Kolaborasi dan sinergi sangat penting untuk menebarkan manfaat sebesar mungkin bagi umat,” jelas KH. Muhammad Faiz.
Salah satu bidang yang mendapat perhatian khusus adalah pendidikan. Menurut Kyai Faiz, perlu ada pendidikan profesi yang menjawab kebutuhan umat. Contohnya adalah profesi auditor halal, dakwah spesifik di daerah minoritas Muslim, serta sertifikasi bagi ustaz pesantren yang telah lama mengabdi namun belum memiliki ijazah formal.
Prof. Dailami merespons positif gagasan tersebut. Lebih lanjut, ia langsung menghubungi Kepala BPJPH, Dr. Haikal Hasan, untuk menindaklanjuti usulan pendidikan auditor halal. Oleh karena itu, disepakati adanya pertemuan lanjutan antara MUI DKI, UIA, dan BPJPH di waktu dekat.
Selain itu, kedua pihak juga bersepakat menyelenggarakan Seminar Internasional. Acara ini akan menghadirkan pakar Islam dari Al-Azhar Mesir, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Salim Abu Ashi, pada 30 September 2025. UIA akan menyiapkan aula pertemuan serta kebutuhan teknis lainnya. Sementara itu, peserta seminar meliputi mahasiswa PKU MUI, Dewan Pertimbangan Ulama, para ulama MUI, cendekiawan UIA, serta perwakilan BKMT.
Turut mendampingi Ketua Umum, Direktur PKU MUI Jakarta, H. Muladi Mughni, Ph.D. Beliau ditugaskan merumuskan tindak lanjut hasil pertemuan. Pada akhir acara, Prof. Dailami menyerahkan cinderamata kepada KH. Muhammad Faiz. Kunjungan kemudian ditutup dengan foto bersama.
